How to Protect Yourself
from Viruses
The best and most effective way to protect your computer
from viruses is to run antivirus software, but merely having
the software isn't enough. If it isn't configured
properly, if you don't do regular scans, if you don't keep
it updated, etc. the software is almost useless. Follow
the instructions below to protect yourself from viruses:
A. If you have anti-virus software that is less than a
year old, then go over the Antivirus
Checklist.
B. If you're anti-virus software is a
year old or if you don't have anti-virus
software, you can buy anti-virus software using the links
below. If you are unsure as to which to purchase, it
might help to know that I prefer the Norton /Symantec
